There's no competition quite as big as this one. The NCA and NDA College Nationals are returning to Daytona Beach this week for another edition.
For many college athletes, this competition marks the pinnacle of their career. The National Cheerleader and Dance Associations host these College Nationals each year on the "bandshell" stage in Florida, just feet away from the ocean.
Netflix's show "Cheer" gave ordinary viewers a glimpse into the intensity of College Nationals, following Navarro College's powerhouse program through several seasons from 2019-21. Though the show is no longer filming, fans can still watch the Bulldogs as they perform in the 2026 competition.
Make sure to tune in for the action.

Premier League club ‘actively encouraging’ summer bidding war between Man Utd and arch-rivals for their coveted star
Nottingham Forest are said to be ‘actively encouraging’ Manchester City and Manchester United to ignite a bidding war for Elliot Anderson this summer, according to TeamTalk.
The two Manchester outfits have both firmly set their sights on securing the midfielder’s signature before 2026/2027 gets underway.

Elliot Anderson: The state of play
However, only one can reign victorious in the race, and United are ready to go toe-to-toe with their arch-rivals in hopes of persuading Anderson to make the switch to Old Trafford instead of the Etihad.

Despite speculation suggesting City are favourites, Forest have reportedly sought to make it clear that no deal has been agreed as of yet.
In fact, the player’s suitors might even have to wait until after the World Cup to hold concrete negotiations, as Anderson’s sole focus come the end of the season will be representing England at the tournament and going as far as possible.
Forest poised to begrudgingly sanction Anderson’s exit
In the meantime, you can understand Forest wanting to secure themselves as high a fee as possible.
Anderson has been one of their main men in the two campaigns he’s represented them, and played an integral role in Forest qualifying for Europe last term following an emphatic year at the City Ground.
There is also a lingering possibility that the Midlands outfit, who currently sit 16th-placed in the Premier League, could drop back down to the Championship in the coming month, so having ample funds to reinvest in the squad could be the difference between them coming instantly back up to the top flight or not.

Nottingham Forest handed big injury boost ahead of Europa League quarter-final
Nottingham Forest have received a big injury boost ahead of the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final against Porto.
Chris Wood will return to the squad after remaining out injured for six months.
The 34-year-old hasn’t played since picking up a knee injury in October, which required surgery in December.
The experienced striker recently recovered to feature twice for the under-21s, and has now travelled with the first-team squad for Thursday’s European game.
Igor Jesus, who scored against Tottenham Hotspur in Forest’s last game before the international break, is set to lead the attack, but Wood will be part of the matchday squad.
“He started training with the team and he is available for the game,” manager Vitor Pereira said (per BBC Sport).
“He is working with us, we need to manage a little bit physically but he has travelled. It means he is available to be in the game tomorrow.”
Wood has been a key player for Forest since joining the club in January 2023, initially on loan that was later made permanent.
He has scored 39 goals and created four assists in 91 appearances across all competitions.
The New Zealand captain struck 20 goals last season, as the Tricky Trees qualified for Europe with a seventh-place Premier League finish.
However, Wood has been limited to only eight league appearances this campaign due to the knee injury.
Forest have struggled in his absence, as they have changed two managers but are still sitting just three points above the relegation zone.
Wood’s return will be a boost for Pereira’s side, who are fighting to reach a European semi-final for the first time in 42 years.

There are a handful of ways that an amateur can earn a spot in the Masters field, which include winning an amateur championship within the past year. For the 2026 Masters, the field includes six interesting amateurs who have a chance to make a name for themselves throughout the weekend.
Half of the amateurs in the field are currently in college, but there are a few who are not competing in the 2025-26 NCAA golf season. That includes one high-school golfer who will be attending college this fall, and another amateur who is almost two decades removed from his college experience.
Get to know the six amateurs participating in the 90th Masters this weekend.

Mason Howell
Mason Howell beat Jackson Herrington in the U.S. Amateur Championship, becoming the third-youngest winner of the event and giving him chance to compete at the Masters at just 18 years-old. Howell isn't even in college yet, as he is set to attend the University of Georgia in the fall.
